The Polish Government Scholarships 2025/2026 provide an extraordinary opportunity for international students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and academic personnel to engage in short-term studies, research internships, or part-time study experiences in Poland. This esteemed scholarship initiative, which is administered by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and is part of the Zawacka NAWA Programme, is intended to promote academic collaboration by means of bilateral agreements between Poland and its partner countries, including Switzerland.

Advantages of Polish Government Scholarships:
Students (study or research stays): 1,800 PLN per month
2,500 PLN per month for doctoral students who are conducting research residencies.
Postdoctoral researchers receive a monthly salary of 3,500 PLN.
Fields of Study: This program is open to all academic disciplines, including the humanities, engineering, science, medicine, technology, and social sciences.
Who is eligible to apply?
The following Swiss prospective categories are eligible:
Students in both undergraduate and graduate programs
Swiss institutions are currently enrolling doctoral candidates.
Academic personnel, scientists, and researchers who are employed at Swiss universities or research centers
Note: Please be advised that dual citizens of Poland and Switzerland are ineligible.
Those who are pursuing full PhDs at Polish doctoral institutions are also ineligible; however, short-term research visits are permissible.

The Polish Embassy in Bern will select nominees for the final stage, which will be managed by NAWA, after the Scholarship Service of Swiss universities has forwarded applications.
Final Steps Following Nomination:
NAWA will make contact with the selected applicants and request that they register and submit their documents through the NAWA Academic Exchange IT System.
The final submission deadline to NAWA is September 30, 2025.
Important Information:
Applicants are required to independently coordinate admission or invitation with a Polish host university or research center.
University placements are not facilitated by NAWA.
