1. What Is the Humboldt Research Fellowship?
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation offers this prestigious program to support outstanding international scholars (excluding German nationals). The aim is to promote international cooperation and to bring global researchers to Germany.
Each year, about 700 fellowships are granted to researchers in various disciplines. The fellowship allows you to collaborate with a German host institution and advance your research in a high-quality environment.
2. Fellowship Types and Duration
There are two main categories:
